Mr. McNeal has been a successful entrepreneur for the past three decades. He is a graduate of Computer Science at University of Florida, and has held many successful jobs since then.
Mr. McNeal began his career as a software engineer at IBM in Boca Raton. Within his first year, he was ranked amoung that Top-10% of employees, managing five software engineers in Boca Raton and another 30 software engineers in Singapore.
When IBM relocated from Boca Raton to Austin, Mr. McNeal worked as a consultant for EDS and Motorola, prior to founding his own company Emergin. In 1998, Emergin was named "Business of the Year" by South Florida Business Journal. In 1999, Mr. McNeal was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst & Young. And in 2000, named "Business of the Year" by Deloitte & Touche. Mr. McNeal successfully led a software enterprise, which led to an acquisition by Philips, a Fortune 100 company a decade later.
Since departing from Philips, Mr. McNeal has managed a number of estates from start to finish, including legacy planning, will and trust development, asset liquidation and distribution governance, as well as asset and liability management. After interviewing a number of individuals, Mr. McNeal has learned that estates are poorly planned and managed. Families face horrific experiences - lack of focus and experience, including the unfair asset valuation and distribution, as well as infighting amongst family members. Although estate owners believe that their designated trustee or personal representative will do the right thing, this occurs in less than 10% of the cases. Eredita brings an unbiased, objective approach to estate management to ensure that an estate owner meets their overall goals, even when they have passed.
Mr. McNeal recognized this industry gap and founded Eredita, a company dedicated solely to handling the end-to-end legacy planning, asset distribution and liquidation governance, and/or asset-liability management for individuals that want to ensure their legacy and estates are managed to their desired goals. Money can be the root of all evil, and estate owners need to consider hiring an expert that can ensure the highest probability of their desired goals.
In addition to managing many successful businesses, Mr. McNeal has been a consultant for small businesses, as well as a guest lecturer for the College of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CE)) at University of Florida. He has also completed 10 triathlons and continues to play competitive tennis domestically and internationally.
